Project Scope: miLEAD conducted secondary research to develop a comprehensive disease overview and identify potential unmet needs in the market that researchers at the university could address with their technologies. Primary research interviews with physicians and insurance providers were conducted to build upon the secondary research and identity the attitudes and key drivers in the market. miLEAD concluded the project with recommendations for how the tech transfer office should proceed with new technologies targeting the diagnosis and treatment of the disease of interest.

Project Scope: miLEAD conducted competitive market landscape analysis to identify key competitors and to compare how their products stacked up against the company's products. Through primary research, miLEAD assessed potential clients’ receptivity to novel products and also obtained key information about their attitudes regarding pricing in order to develop a market entry strategy and pricing recommendations. miLEAD wrapped up the project by developing high-level financial projections for the company based on cost estimates and revenue forecasts.

Business: Life Science Training
Project Scope: Our project comprised three engagements, where the first looked at graduate and postdoctoral training from around the country, the second involved primary interviews with industry hiring managers and secondary research on job postings to determine where biomedical PhD training was adequate and where it was lacking, while the last engagement was comprised of three parts: (1) Primary research on graduate student and postdoc biomedical sciences training and career preparation via the distribution and analysis of a training assessment survey; (2) Primary research via graduate student and postdoc focus group interviews to identify trainee pain points; (3) An evaluation of survey and focus group findings in the context of evolving trends in biomedical PhD employment outcomes and common industry hiring practices. These engagements culminated in a set of overall recommendations to improve the training landscape.
